LAGOS, March 12 (Xinhua) --Nigeria's health minister Osagie Ehanire Thursday said the government was not contemplating imposition of a travel ban on travelers from any countries over the spread of the COVID-19.
The minister, who made this known at a meeting with foreign diplomats in Abuja, Nigeria's capital, said the measures put in place by the government, is strong enough to contain the spread of the virus.
There was no immediate reason for now to impose a travel ban, he said.
The minister also said the country has not reached the point of banning large gatherings, adding that it is guided by the World Health Organization guideline.
