TEHRAN, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Defense Ministry on Wednesday launched the mass production line of advanced thermal cameras to screen people infected with COVID-19, Tasnim news agency reported.
Following the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country, the defense industry's experts started research and managed to mass produce thermal cameras to detect the patients, Tasnim quoted Defense Ministry's Public Relations Department as saying.
The thermal cameras have been completely designed by domestic technology and software through mobilizing all scientific capacities, it said.
Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education announced on Wednesday that a total of 9,000 people have been infected with the virus, of whom 354 have died.
