BAGHDAD, March 10 (Xinhua) -- The Iraqi Health Ministry on Tuesday announced that 15 people infected with COVID-19 have recovered.
Among the cured were 11 in the capital Baghdad, while the other four in the northern province of Kirkuk, the ministry said in a brief statement.
So far the Iraqi ministry has reported 66 cases of COVID-19, of whom seven have died.
On Saturday night, the Chinese team of experts arrived in Baghdad as part of China's assistance in confronting the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.
The team, which was sent to Iraq by the Red Cross Society of China, includes seven experts from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
The team is expected to stay in Iraq for one month to help the government tackle COVID-19 such as testing, treating and following up the cases.
