China has made great contributions to the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, as its experience against the virus and equitable global vaccination campaign have been very valuable, said experts.
China has committed to making COVID-19 vaccines a global public good and promoting vaccine accessibility and affordability in developing countries.
Official figures showed, by September, China had provided more than 1.25 billion vaccine doses to more than 100 countries and international organizations.
In addition to donating 100 million U.S. dollars to COVAX, China will donate 100 million additional vaccine doses to other developing countries this year.
It had also supplied more than 320 billion masks, 3.9 billion protective suits, and 5.6 billion nucleic acid testing kits globally.
