Five Huoyan (Fire Eye) inflatable labs have been put to use earlier this week in Hohhot, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to boost the COVID-19 nucleic acid test capacity amid the local resurgence in cases.
The labs can process 300,000 nucleic acid tests a day once in full operation.
Inner Mongolia reported 19 new local cases on Friday.
It has confirmed a total of 149 COVID-19 cases as of 3 p.m. Friday in the latest wave of infections, including 127 cases in the Ejina Banner, a county in western Inner Mongolia.
