China's Zhangjiajie has started emergency disposal procedures to ensure that medical waste is collected and treated daily amid a recent resurgence of COVID-19 infections.
At present, there are 54 nucleic acid testing stations in Zhangjiajie city, as well as hospitals and quarantine hotels, which produce more than 10 tonnes of medical waste daily, far exceeding the city's previous medical waste treatment capacity.
