MOSCOW, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Six people were killed and 13 injured in Ukrainian attacks on the Belgorod, Kursk and Nizhny Novgorod regions in western Russia in 24 hours, regional authorities said early Friday.
In the Belgorod region, four people were killed and 13 injured, said the regional field office.
In the Kursk region, a man was killed in the village in the Belovsky district, said regional Governor Alexander Khinshtein.
Governor Gleb Nikitin of the Nizhny Novgorod region said a serviceman was killed while repelling an overnight drone attack.
The Russian Defense Ministry said early Friday that it intercepted 505 drones across multiple regions overnight.
Meanwhile, part of the infrastructure at Russia's Yandex data centre in Kaluga, southwest of Moscow, was damaged as a result of a drone attack, with several modules completely disabled, reported the TASS news agency on Friday morning, citing information provided by the company.
Emergency personnel and company specialists are working at the site. Yandex said no casualties had been reported. ■
