MINSK, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Belarus is deepening cooperation with countries of the Global South, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov said on Wednesday.
Ryzhenkov highlighted the strategic shift that engagement with the Global South has moved from political dialogue to concrete economic cooperation. Full membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and active participation in the BRICS+ format have opened new opportunities for Belarusian businesses, Ryzhenkov said at a board meeting of reviewing the ministry's performance in 2025.
Export figures reflect this momentum, as its exports to African, Latin American and Asian countries all surged, Ryzhenkov said.
Minsk's position remains unchanged: Belarus stands for pragmatic dialogue on equal terms, not ultimatums, he stressed. ■
