SEOUL, March 10 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's revised real gross domestic product (GDP), adjusted for inflation, grew 1 percent in 2025, unchanged from the preliminary figure unveiled in January, central bank data showed Tuesday.

It was lower than an expansion of 2 percent in 2024, according to the Bank of Korea.

Export, which accounts for about half of the export-driven economy, gained 4.2 percent, and import rose 3.8 percent.

Private consumption mounted 1.3 percent, while fiscal spending swelled 3 percent last year, faster than an increase of 2.1 percent in the previous year.

Construction investment tumbled 9.8 percent, but facility investment climbed 2 percent.

Nominal gross national income (GNI), which measures the combined income earned at home and abroad by people and businesses, expanded 4.4 percent in 2025 compared to the previous year.

The per-capita GNI added 0.3 percent to 36,855 U.S. dollars last year.

The GDP deflator, or the ratio of nominal GDP to real GDP to gauge the change of prices for all goods and services produced in the country, went up 3.1 percent in 2025, lower than the growth of 4.1 percent in 2024.
