SYDNEY, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- Two people suffered minor injuries after a light aircraft made an emergency landing on a golf course in northern Sydney on Sunday afternoon.
The Piper PA-28 Cherokee made the emergency landing on the course in Mona Vale, 23 kilometers northeast of central Sydney, shortly after 2:00 p.m. local time on Sunday.
Two male occupants, an instructor pilot and a student, both aged in their 50s, were treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics for minor injuries before being taken to hospital for assessment.
Aerial footage from the site broadcast by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation showed the aircraft with visible damage to a wing.
Local media reported that the aircraft had experienced engine failure. ■
