SINGAPORE, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's youth offending rate rose to 5.6 per 1,000 youths in 2025, from 4.8 per 1,000 in 2024, driven mainly by an increase in cheating and related offenses, official data showed on Tuesday.
The youth drug offending rate remained relatively stable at about 0.5 per 1,000 youths in both 2024 and 2025, according to the Ministry of Social and Family Development's 2026 Supporting Youth Rehabilitation Trends Report.
Cheating and related offenses remained among the top offense categories for middle and older youths, with most youths involved in such offenses linked to scams.
Among younger youths, theft and related offenses, and sexual offenses remained key offense categories. ■
