PHNOM PENH, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia's international air passenger traffic declined by 10 percent year on year to 4.16 million during the first eight months of 2026, according to a State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA) report released on Wednesday.

The report indicated that flights to the kingdom's international airports dipped slightly by 1 percent year on year, totaling 42,189 from January to August. In contrast, air cargo volume surged 17 percent to 66,559 tonnes during the same period.

The country is primarily served by three major hubs: Techo International Airport serving the capital Phnom Penh, Siem Reap Angkor International Airport, and Sihanouk International Airport.

SSCA Secretary of State and Spokesperson Sinn Chanserey Vutha said that 33 airlines, comprising 29 international and four domestic carriers, currently connect Cambodia to ASEAN member states, East Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East.
