579 dead, 1,924 missing after Nepal's floods: disaster authority

KATHMANDU, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Nepal's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority said that 579 bodies had been recovered from flood-hit areas as of 19:00 local time on Friday, with 1,924 people still missing. ■
