MADRID, May 11 (Xinhua) -- As FC Barcelona has claimed the La Liga title with three rounds to go, there are other issues to be settled between now and the end of the season on May 24.
This week sees a midweek round of games, ahead of the penultimate matchday next weekend.
Tuesday night has three important clashes, including Osasuna's home game against Atletico Madrid. While Atletico Madrid has already secured a UEFA Champions League spot, Osasuna has a chance of finishing in the top seven to qualify for next season's Conference League.
Atletico lost defender Nahuel Molina to a minor hamstring injury in a weekend defeat to Celta Vigo and Julian Alvarez's ankle remains as a problem, while Osasuna goalkeeper Sergio Herrera is suspended after his red card on Friday.
Tuesday's other two games will help determine who plays in the Champions League next season and who goes down to the second division, with Celta at home to Levante while Real Betis entertains Elche.
Levante travels to Vigo second from bottom of the table, but with its morale sky-high after having come back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at home to Osasuna, and another win could lift the club out of the bottom three.
Celta is currently sixth in the table, four points behind Betis.
Elche sits 16th in the standings, with three points more than Levante after a 1-1 draw at home to Alaves on Saturday.
Betis winger Aitor Ruibal is suspended for the game, but coach Manuel Pellegrini will hope his deeper squad will allow him to put some fresh legs on the pitch. ■
