MOSCOW, April 10 (Xinhua) -- One civilian was killed following a drone attack in Russia's Volgograd region, regional authorities said Friday.
Governor of Volgograd Oblast Andrei Bocharov said a resident died from shrapnel wounds after a drone hit a community in the city of Volzhsky.
Drone strikes also sparked a fire at a container holding petroleum products, and caused damage to 13 private homes, a power line and a gas pipeline, he added.
Earlier in the day, Russia's Defense Ministry said its air defense systems had intercepted and destroyed 151 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight, including 57 over the Volgograd region. ■
