KABUL, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and three others injured when the roof of a mud-brick house collapsed in southern Afghanistan's Kandahar province, a local official reported on Saturday.
The incident occurred on Friday evening on the outskirts of Spin Boldak district, where three members of the same family died on the spot, said Mullah Abdul Salam Omari, provincial director of the disaster management authority, adding that the injured were rushed to a nearby health facility for treatment.
Traditional mud-brick houses, common in Afghanistan's rural and remote areas, are highly vulnerable to collapse during heavy rainfall. ■
