BUENOS AIRES, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Juan Fedorco scored in the 100th minute as Independiente recovered from three goals down to salvage a 4-4 home draw with Union Santa Fe in Argentina's Apertura tournament on Tuesday.
The visitors raced to a three-goal lead through first-half goals from Cristian Tarragona, Brahian Cuello and Mateo Del Blanco.
Ignacio Pussetto pulled a goal back on the stroke of halftime before Gabriel Avalos made it 3-2 with a 49th-minute penalty.
The visitors restored their two-goal advantage when Maizon Rodriguez volleyed in from a corner but Avalos struck again with a bullet header after Victor Malcorra's free kick.
Fedorco put his side on level terms seconds before the final whistle, latching onto Kevin Lomonaco's floating cross with a long-range header into the top-right corner.
The result leaves Independiente fourth in Group A with 14 points, four behind second-placed Union.
Elsewhere in Argentina's top flight on Tuesday, Tigre was held to a 1-1 home draw by Velez Sarsfield. ■
