MANILA, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed and two others were critically injured after a wing van truck collided with a motorcycle in the central Philippine city of Cebu on Tuesday, police said.
Police said the crash occurred on Tuesday afternoon, involving a motorcycle carrying three people and a wing van truck with a driver and two crew members.
Initial investigation indicated that the motorcycle was traveling uphill when the wing van, traveling downhill, overshot into the opposite lane, collided with the motorcycle, killing the motorcycle's driver and two passengers at the scene.
The wing van driver was rushed to a local hospital but was declared dead on arrival, police said.
Two helpers who were riding in the truck were critically injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the crash. ■
