MEXICO CITY, March 9 (Xinhua) -- Toluca scored three second-half goals to secure a 3-1 home win over Juarez in Mexico's Liga MX Clausura tournament on Sunday.
Helinho gave the hosts the lead by converting a 54th-minute penalty and Antonio Briseno made it 2-0 by heading in from Sebastian Cordova's set piece in the 70th minute.
The visitors pulled a goal back through Guilherme Castilho's 72nd-minute strike before Paulinho put the result beyond doubt in stoppage time by lifting a first-time effort over goalkeeper Sebastian Jurado.
The result leaves Toluca second in the 18-team standings with 24 points, 14 ahead of 13th-placed Juarez.
In Sunday's only other Liga MX fixture, Santos Laguna edged to a 2-1 win at Club Tijuana. ■
