KABUL, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation has signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with leading domestic aid agencies to provide assistance to returnees and internally displaced families, the ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
The agreements, valued at 515,700 U.S. dollars in total, are expected to benefit over 868,000 returnee and displaced individuals, according to the statement.
The aid agencies will deliver essential services to returnees at a temporary camp near the Torkham border crossing in eastern Nangarhar province and create employment opportunities in Nangarhar as well as the western provinces of Herat, Farah, and Badghis.
