NEW DELHI, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- India's wholesale price index (WPI) eased to 0.13 percent in September, data released by the federal ministry of commerce and industry on Tuesday.
"The annual rate of inflation based on All India WPI number is 0.13 percent (provisional) for the month of September 2025 (over September 2024)," reads a statement issued by the ministry. "Positive rate of inflation in September 2025 is primarily due to an increase in prices of manufacture of food products, other manufacturing, non-food articles, other transport equipment and textiles, etc."
The WPI inflation rate was 0.52 percent in August. ■
