CAIRO, March 4 (Xinhua) -- The Palestinian Authority (PA) will administer Gaza affairs via its governmental institutions and a dedicated committee, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Tuesday.
The security bodies of the PA will take their responsibilities in the Gaza Strip after being restructured and trained under the support of Egypt and Jordan, Abbas said at the ongoing emergency Arab summit held in Egypt's New Administrative Capital.
The PA is working on implementing a governmental reform program in cooperation with international organizations to ensure the best practice, he added.
The summit, attended by Arab leaders and delegations, as well as representatives from international organizations including the United Nations, will later discuss a Gaza reconstruction plan proposed by Egypt. ■
