RAMALLAH, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Four Palestinians were killed and seven others injured by Israeli forces near the northern West Bank city of Tubas on Monday evening, the Palestinian Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
The Ramallah-based Health Ministry identified the slain victims as one 14-year-old, two 19-year-olds and one 36-year-old. They were killed in the town of Aqaba, to the north of the Tubas city.
The Israeli forces stormed the town and besieged one house, which led to the outbreak of confrontations with young men, during which the occupation soldiers fired live bullets, the Palestinian official news agency WAFA reported.
The Israeli army has not commented on the incident yet.
Amid the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank has also been witnessing rising tensions between the Israeli army and Palestinians. ■
