Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves increase by 19 mln USD

ISLAMABAD, April 4 (Xinhua) -- The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Thursday that its foreign exchange reserves have increased by 19 million U.S. dollars.

The central bank's total liquid foreign exchange reserves held as of March 29 stood at over 8 billion dollars, the central bank said in a statement.

Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks saw a slight decline and recorded at over 5.3 billion dollars from last week's over 5.4 billion dollars, it said.

Total liquid foreign reserves held by the South Asian country stood at over 13.3 billion dollars, according to the SBP.
