SEOUL, March 1 (Xinhua) -- South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol's approval rating rose 5 percentage points over the week to 39 percent this week, a weekly poll showed Friday.
The negative assessment on Yoon's conduct of state affairs dipped 5 percentage points to 53 percent, according to the local pollster Gallup Korea.
Support for the ruling conservative People Power Party added 3 percentage points to 40 percent this week compared to the previous week.
The main liberal opposition Democratic Party's popularity rating decreased 2 percentage points to 33 percent.
The minor progressive Green Justice Party's support score stood unchanged at 2 percent in the cited week.
The results were based on a survey of 1,001 voters conducted from Tuesday to Thursday. It had plus and minus 3.1 percentage points in margin of error with a 95-percent confidence level. ■
