BUENOS AIRES, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- A light plane crashed in southern Argentina Saturday, killing both of the people on board, local media reported.
The crash occurred at an airfield in the city of Cutral Co, in Neuquen province, about 1,210 km southwest of Buenos Aires, said local media, citing police.
Cutral Co Fire Chief Dario Campos said they received "a call from residents at the municipal airfield at 7:25 a.m. (1025 GMT)," after they witnessed the impact and flames.
"We found remains of the plane on fire and two bodies inside," Campos said, adding: "The fire was put out."
A local aero club confirmed the identities of the two crew members, including the club's president, Ceferino Sepulveda. ■
