DANGSHAN, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Busy harvest scenes take place in the pear orchards in Dangshan County, east China's Anhui Province. Pear growers are seizing the fine weather to pick and sell fresh pears. Dangshan pear has seen a boom in the industry in recent years. In 2022, the yield of pears in Dangshan County reached 910,000 tons. Besides, the local government has worked with universities and scientific institutes to further cultivate high-quality Dangshan pear varieties.
