BEIJING, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Here are the latest Chinese sports headlines from the past week:
1. Wang/Sun retain mixed doubles title, China confirms men's singles crown at Durban table tennis worlds

In a repeat of the tournament's mixed doubles final in Houston two years ago, top-ranked Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha overwhelmed world No. 2 Tomokazu Harimoto and Hina Hayata of Japan 11-6, 11-2, 11-7 to retain their title at the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships (WTTC) Finals on May 26.
Meanwhile, it will be an all-Chinese affair in deciding the men's singles winner after four paddlers swept semifinal berths in the event in Durban, South Africa.
2. China beats S.Korea to clinch 13th Sudirman Cup

China was crowned at the 2023 Sudirman Cup after whitewashing South Korea 3-0 in the final here on Sunday.
With the triumph, the hosts have thus clinched the title three times in a row, and won 13 championships in the past 18 editions.
The biennial tournament, hosted in Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province, has attracted wide attention as it serves as the first qualifying tournament for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The 2025 Sudirman Cup will continue to be held in China, with the host city to be determined
3. China's star spiker Zhu needs time to recover and return to national team

China women's volleyball star spiker Zhu Ting says she needs more time to recover from a wrist injury and return to the national team.
"I played OK in Italy this season, but the condition of my wrist was not very satisfactory, and I am still far from a full recovery," Zhu, who underwent surgery last spring to cure an injury to her right wrist that had troubled her during the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, told Xinhua on May 24.
The 28-year-old outside hitter will not travel with the national team, as her teammates will fly to Japan on Friday for Women's Volleyball Nations League matches.
4. Olympic champs Zhang, Wang to lead China's squad for Fukuoka World Aquatics Championships

The Chinese Swimming Association has named a 41-strong squad for the 2023 World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Japan this summer.
Olympic champions Zhang Yufei, Wang Shun and Li Bingjie will spearhead the star-studded team's assault in the pool.
The Championships in Fukuoka will feature 75 medal events across six aquatics sports - swimming, artistic swimming, open water swimming, diving, high diving and water polo - with the event's 17 days of competition running from July 14 to 30.
5. 40th China Sport Show opens in Xiamen

The 40th China Sport Show opens in Xiamen, an eastern coastal city in China, on May 26.
Spanning across 150,000 square meters, this sports expo features four sections and anticipates an attendance of 1,565 exhibitors and over 100,000 visitors.
The 2023 rendition of the show breaks traditional norms, exploring cooperation opportunities in diverse areas, such as "sports+culture", "sports+tourism", "sports+medical", "sports+education", and other "sports+" enterprises.
