THE HAGUE, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- Chinese men's and women's relay teams on Saturday advanced to the finals of the 2022-2023 ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup in Dordrecht, the Netherlands.
In the men's 5,000m relay semifinals, China (Lin Xiaojun, Zhong Yuchen, Song Jiahua and Liu Guanyi) finished second in its group with a time of 7 minutes and 9.537 seconds to enter Final A.
In the women's 3,000m relay semifinals, China (Gong Li, Xu Aili, Wang Xinran and Zang Yize) topped its group with a time of 4:11.686 to reach Final A.
The Netherlands, Canada and Poland finished top three in the 2,000m mixed relay Final A, while China was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
In individual events, Canadian Steven Dubois won the men's 1,000m Final A in 1:24.532. China's Lin Xiaojun won the Final B in 1:25.479.
The men's 1,500m gold went to South Korean Park Ji-won, who clocked 2:17.200. China's Song Jiahua placed fifth in Final A in 2:17.608, with his teammate Li Wenlong finishing sixth in Final B.
Canadian Kim Boutin was crowned the women's 1,000m champion in 1:29.807. China's Wang Ye finished fifth in Final B in 1:32.493.
In the women's 1,500m, Belgian Hanne Desmet won the gold and China's Zang Yize finished seventh in Final A. Gong Li finished second in Final B. ■
