Spain's Barcelona has kicked off the Chinese New Year celebrations to mark the Spring Festival, which fell on Jan. 22 this year.
Barcelona Mayor Ada Colau and China's Consul General in Barcelona Lin Nan on Saturday jointly launched the activity, which attracted thousands of people.
