WASHINGTON, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- British bobsled pilot Brad Hall won his first four-man bobsleigh World Cup with Taylor Lawrence, Greg Cackett and Arran Gulliver as his push crew in Lake Placid, the United States on Sunday.
Hall led his team to third place after the first run before propelling them further up the standings to claim the gold in one minute and 50.36 seconds, followed by Francesco Friedrich of Germany, only 0.01 seconds adrift.
It was also the first gold medal in this event for Britain since Lamin Deen in 2017. After the tournament, Friedrich still holds the lead in the 2022-2023 IBSF World Cup overall rankings with 660 points, ahead of Hall (627) and Germany's Johannes Lochner (578).

Germany also won the two-man bobsleigh and the women's monobob, while Kaillie Humphries and Kaysha Love of the United States edged out German pair Laura Nolte and Lena Neunecker to clinch the two-woman bobsleigh gold. ■
