Oil tea is a traditional drink for people of the Dong ethnic group in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Guizhou Province.
Dong people make oil tea every month and enjoy it as a snack. The tea is especially popular in winter.
Located in one of China's four major tea production areas, Guizhou is home to more than 466,000 hectares of tea gardens. It produces high quality tea leaves for its favorable climate.
