SUVA, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 hit the southern part of Fiji Islands on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 627.4 km, was initially determined to be at 26.042 degrees south latitude and 178.226 degrees east longitude.
No tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake. ■
