HONG KONG, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 jolted southeast of the Loyalty Islands at 11:04 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 144.885 km, was initially determined to be at 21.1908 degrees south latitude and 170.2397 degrees east longitude. ■
