Japan beat China for 8th consecutive win in women's Volleyball Nations League

MANILA, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Japan defeated China 19-25, 25-16, 25-23, 25-12 on Sunday for its eighth straight win in the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL) on Sunday in Quezon City, the Philippines.

Li Yingying scored a game-high 27 points for China while Japan's Sarina Koga and Kotona Hayashi contributed 22 and 19 points respectively.

Unbeaten in the two weeks of competition, Japan continue to lead the VNL table, followed by the United States. China's defeat sees the team slip to fourth place.
