SHIZUISHAN, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in northwest China is well-known for producing high-quality milk. In Pingluo County, Shizuishan City, 5G technology is being used to run a ranch.
Manual labor is rarely required in the ranch as 5G technology can do the majority of the work from milking to feeding.
The system will adjust the feeding time and improve the accuracy of mixing fodder based on the data from each cow's milking time to ensure a balanced diet for the cow.
The unmanned milking system, which is also based on 5G technology, can identify each cow's earmark and divide them into different groups to ensure that each cow is milked at the most optimal time.
Each cow's milking data will be uploaded in real time, and an analysis report will be generated automatically. The entire procedure is traceable.
The ranch's efficiency has increased thanks to 5G technology, and the ranch currently employs less than a dozen people and has raised around 1,000 cows.
