"It was a wonderful experience," Junelia, a patient at the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital, said after she received a hi-tech treatment.
Junelia, 40, has suffered from multiple uterine fibroids for many years. In February, China's Haifu medical team arrived in Dominica to train local doctors on the high-intensity focused ultrasound treatment technology.
With the help of Chinese doctors, local doctors have so far successfully treated nine patients with this technology.
