Yang Jungang is a teacher of sports courses at Hebei Institute of Communications in north China's Hebei Province. He also serves as an umpire for the 2022 Olympic Winter Games after he was elected 2022 Technical Officer for parallel giant slalom event.
Yang is crazy about skiing and often lectures on the sport. Many students are attracted to his courses.
He spends his spare time training students on the ski slopes.
"When you slide down you need to hold tight onto the skiing poles, adjust your center of gravity, and react quickly when you encounter an unexpected obstacle," Yang reminds his students during the training.
Yang says that students' reasons for wanting to ski are many and varied. Students may want to learn not just to improve their skiing skills, but also to broaden their horizons and expand their opportunities for employment.
